Summer is an ideal time to study for the SAT.

Whether you are a rising Junior taking the PSAT in the Fall or a rising Senior looking to improve on your previous SAT scores, Marin SAT Prep’s intensive, 12-lesson Summer course provides thorough training in all of the strategies and skills you need to succeed.

Classes meet daily, Monday through Thursday, for three consecutive weeks at the Marin SAT Prep classroom, conveniently located near N. San Pedro Rd. & Hwy 101 in central San Rafael.

2010 course dates (Mondays – Thursdays):

Jun 14 – July 1

or

July 5 – 22

or

July 26 – August 12

Class time (9:30 am – 12:00 pm):
Formal instruction begins at 9:30 am and ends at 11:00 am. Students then complete homework during a one hour, guided study session.

Class size:
Classes are taught in a special seminar format of no more than 5 students per class. The low student-teacher ratio assures personal attention to each student’s individual needs. Students may also supplement class instruction with private sessions if they wish.

Course fee:
The cost of Marin SAT Prep’s complete 3-week Summer SAT prep course, including all course materials, is $1200. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a slot. Remaining payment for the course is due in full at or before the first lesson.

*Because class size is limited, course reservations will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 3 students is required before a class will be confirmed.

2008-09 SAT Practice Test conversion tables

Here are the raw to scaled score conversion tables for the 2008-09 Official SAT Practice Test for each subject. This test was also an actual SAT given in October 2005.

In addition to listing the straight conversion tables, I have also added the raw score point percentages for each scaled score. For instance, to get a scaled score of 600 on the Critical Reading subject for this test, you need 46 raw score points. With 67 total raw score points available on Critical Reading, a raw score of 46 translates into 69% (46/67) of the total points available.

Please also note that the Writing subject includes only raw score conversions for the multiple choice portion, and does not include effects of the essay on the scaled score (more on this later).

For more on how your raw score is determined for each subject, see here.
