I tutor SAT Math, Reading, & Writing.
I have many real official SAT tests.
Its 20 $ per hour but I suggest at least 1.5 hours which is 30 $.
If you are getting scores around 2200, I suggest you just practice out of the blue book.
But, if your scores are lower than 2150s, I will raise your score.

I am a high school student who took the SAT and received a score of 2200+.
I can tell you the exact score if you contact me.
I'm in the top 1% of the class.

I can tutor anytime anytime after 7 on Mondays-Thursday.
Anytime before 5 P.M. on Weekends.

During the summer, I can tutor anytime around 9 A.M. - 5 P.M..

http://www.philiphawessat.com/SAT_PSAT_Tutoring_Test_Prep.html
This is my short suggested reading list for SAT Prep. Basically, this is a summer reading list. This book list is short and is designed to raise one's SAT Critical Reading AND Writing score. The books display a variety of styles, and I even split the list up; there's a list for boys and a list for girls (with some overlap).

Seeking SAT instructors for 2 residential summer camps (Upstate NY and Boston):

Seeking experienced SAT instructors for two programs: an innovative, holistic summer camp at a college in upstate NY and a Scholarship Academy outside of Boston. The programs will run one after another and use the same SAT curricula and program design.

The first camp is a residential camp at a college in upstate NY. The camp runs from June 30th to July 20th, with a staff week beginning June 23rd. The program combines comprehensive SAT instruction with campfires, afternoons by the pool, and unique elective courses.

The second program is a fully endowed leadership and college prep camp outside of Boston, running from July 24th through August 18th. The program will have SAT, writing, and leadership components.

JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking passionate and talented SAT instructors to work at both camps as "Master Teachers." "Master Teachers" lead their classroom, working with the camp director to adapt our curricula and textbook to the needs of their students individually and as a class. The job is a challenging but exciting one--on the one hand, we don't want to push our students so hard that they lose sight of the point of camp; on the other hand, we, and our students, want them to improve as many points as possible on the SAT. Our ideal candidates can balance these two interests--combining a passion for the well-being and growth of our students with a gift for teaching, coaching, and communicating. Ideal candidates have taught the SAT before, have a good deal of teaching experience, and can demonstrate mastery of the SAT, either through high SAT scores or experience teaching the test. We are particularly interested in teachers with a diverse background of teaching experiences--who are able to transition from the first camp to the second and improvise solutions to any challenges we face at either program.

COMPENSATION:

Salary for the full summer is $5000-6,000 (depending on experience), plus room, board, and transportation expenses. Teachers may also apply and be considered for either program individually--with pro-rated salaries.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to workwithus@liveplaygrowtogetherSAT.com with "master teacher" in the subject line. We encourage all those interested to apply. Feel free to e-mail for more information about either program as well.

Gary said:

"Also it is true that we can assume that the figure is drawn to scale since it wasn’t mentioned it was not, but we can’t be sure of the exact base angles."

Actually, if a triangle has two congruent sides, it is an isosceles triangle (by definition). All isosceles triangles have two congruent base angles. Therefore, since (by SAT rules) we can assume the figure is a scale drawing, and we know the right and left sides of the triangle are congruent (which can be verified using using light marks along the edge of one's answer sheet), we know the base angles of the triangle are congruent.

Gary's reasoning would be correct absent SAT rules which state that figures are accurately drawn except when otherwise noted (e.g. if the question above had appeared as an exercise in a standard high school geometry textbook).

As it is, however, given a scale drawing, we have no choice but to infer congruent base angles.
