cacophony (n.)

From Dictionary.com:

1. harsh discordance of sound; dissonance.
2. a discordant and meaningless mixture of sounds.
3. Music. frequent use of discords of a harshness and relationship difficult to understand.

In a sentence:

“While the band is adored by its young fans, some older critics complain that its music is little more than a cacophony of loud, harsh noise.”
